Short synopsis
Sonja has no memory of the crucial moment in her early childhood that saved her life. When a stranger hands Sonja three long-lost silver napkin rings that once belonged to her parents, Sonja takes on an emotional journey to imagine what was lost.
In this deeply personal VR documentary, you wander through skewed memories, warped images and re-imaginations towards one moment of loss and grief in 1943 – during the Second World War. In this quest, you will find truth in imagination, beauty in the unknown and an act of unconditional love. Combining profound conversation with mesmerizing 3D modelling, animation and personal footage, this true story explores what it means to be a survivor.
